Rohm Hired as ‘Law & Order’ D.A.

Elisabeth Rohm will become the latest actress to pass through “Law & Order’s” revolving door, replacing Angie Harmon next season in the role of assistant district attorney.

Rohm most recently appeared in “Bull,” the TNT network series set on Wall Street, and before that co-starred in the NBC miniseries “The ‘60s.” She also has a recurring role on the WB network’s “Angel.”

Harmon, who has played assistant Dist. Atty. Abbie Carmichael for three seasons, asked to be released to pursue her feature-film career. Rohm will be the fifth person to fill the second-chair prosecutor job on the NBC drama, preceded by Richard Brooks, Jill Hennessy, Carey Lowell and Harmon. Every major character on “Law & Order” has turned over during the show’s 11-year run, yet ratings remain high, and NBC has renewed the series through 2005.

NBC has successfully expanded the franchise with “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and will add a third version of the series, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” in the fall.
