Talks Take Place as More Violence Erupts

A car bomb injured eight people near Tel Aviv and Israelis fired on a funeral in the Gaza Strip, killing a Palestinian youth and wounding about a dozen other people.
Meanwhile, Israeli security officials held talks with their Palestinian counterparts at the residence of the U.S. ambassador to Israel, Palestinian officials said.
An Israeli official said Foreign Minister Shimon Peres will travel to the U.S. this weekend for talks with Secretary of State Colin L. Powell.
