Taking a Closer Look at Placentia and Its Schools

As 31-year residents of Placentia, we were disappointed that “A Small-Scale Wonder” by Elisabeth Deffner, April 8, interviewed one family of very few, we’re sure, who do not like our local school district.
My wife is retired from the district. Our two children, university graduates, are products of the Placentia schools, and we and many of our neighbors are very proud of our schools. One only has to compare our test scores with districts around us to know that the schools are doing a good job.

Regarding the article on Placentia: I find it fascinating to learn about the little-known facts of local areas and look forward to more articles like this one ... maybe even one on my area, Anaheim Hills. It is often overlooked and included in the statistics and generalizations made on the city of Anaheim.
