Martinez, Vandrovec, Bethel Leave Mark at Katella Relays

Santa Ana Valley’s Carina Martinez, Fountain Valley’s B.J. Vandrovec and Mission Viejo’s Dana Bethel had the leading track and field marks Saturday in the Katella Relays at Santa Ana College.
Martinez improved her personal best in the shotput by two feet with a mark of 40 feet 4 inches. Vandrovec cleared 15-0 in the boys’ pole vault and Bethel went 18-10 in the girls’ long jump.
Mission Viejo won the Division I team titles in the boys’ and girls’ competition.
