Sacramento King guard Jason Williams apologized for yelling slurs about Asians and gays during a confrontation with fans Feb. 28 in Oakland.
“I did not intend any disrespect to the Asian community or any other community,” Williams said in a written statement. “I was wrong and I apologize.”

Portland forward Scottie Pippen was fined $5,000 by the NBA for yelling at an official and not leaving the court quickly enough after being ejected in Portland’s 96-88 victory over Dallas on Tuesday.
