McLeish Will Coach New Local Soccer Team

Vanguard men’s Coach Dave McLeish will coach the Southern California Seahorses, a new minor league entry in the Premier Development League of the United Soccer Leagues that intends to play its games at Fullerton High.
McLeish will retain his position at Vanguard, according to Lions Athletic Director Bob Wilson. McLeish has been active as an area coach for 21 years, including stints at Dana Hills, Edison and Marina high schools, Biola University in La Mirada.
The Seahorses open play April 27 against an opponent to be announced later, according to the club’s owner, Missionary Athletes International of Colorado Springs.
