A Last Word on Kevin Evans

Joe Domanick blames everyone and everything in California for the death of Kevin Evans, except his family (“How California Failed Kevin Evans,” Aug. 26). When Evans showed up on his sister’s front porch did she do anything more than ask if he’d like to stay with her? Did she try to stop him from leaving? Did she try to get help? Did she call the police? Did she alert anyone in Lancaster? Did she ever go there? In short, did anyone in this man’s family ever really do anything to try to save him?
