Should Coliseum Be Untouchable?
Last Saturday, I was shocked to read the letter attacking the Coliseum, the historic sports core of Los Angeles. Not only do the USC Trojans play their football games there, but it has been the site of two Olympics and the home of the Dodgers, Rams, Raiders and UCLA Bruins.
So what if the field clock wasn’t working for one game? It is a privilege to be able to play any sport there. I have walked through the tunnel and onto the field two years in a row for the Revlon Walk/Run for Women and I have to tell you, it is a thrill to walk into that stadium and realize all the historic and memorable events that took place there.
And stop bashing the Trojans too.
