Coming to Terms

In spite of Bettijane Levine’s implication that Allen Reid made up the term “dog-robbers” (“Last-Minute Saves,” Feb. 18), it is indeed a military term for what Reid does.

I was surprised that her industry sources have never seen an utterly charming film, “The Americanization of Emily,” in which James Garner plays a dog-robber and explains the job. Tell them to rent the movie. They won’t be sorry.
