A Rancho Santa Margarita man was killed early Wednesday after he drove while possibly drunk and hit two trees at 90 mph, police said.
Jorge Vacani, 25, was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center, where he died an hour after the 5:10 a.m. crash, said Jim Amormino, spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Vacani was driving alone, southbound on Melinda Road near Rancho Trabuco when he lost control of his 1991 Alfa Romeo and crashed into the trees, police said.
Tests are being done to determine Vacani’s blood-alcohol level, Amormino said.
