Ailey and ABT Coming to Orange County

The Orange County Performing Arts Center will open its 2003 International Classic Dance Series with the center debut of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Feb. 11-16. Repertory will be announced.
The series will continue with Stuttgart Ballet’s first Southern California performances of Uwe Scholz’ “Seventh Symphony,” John Cranko’s “The Lady and the Fool” and Douglas Lee’s “Cindy’s Gift,” March 18-20, followed by Cranko’s familiar “Romeo and Juliet,” March 21-23.
New to Southern California will be the Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg’s “Tchaikovsky: The Mystery of Life and Death,” May 16-18.
American Ballet Theatre will close the season with mixed repertory, July 22-24, and “Don Quixote,” July 25-27.
