Ventura on the Mat

Why should anyone be surprised that Gov. Jesse Ventura turned out to be a windbag personality (“Promise of Ventura Era Disappears Into Oblivion,” June 22)? He was one when he took office and he is leaving the same way.
Sort of reminds me of the story of the man who was surprised when he picked up a snake and it bit him. At the man’s astonished reaction the snake replied, “You knew I was a snake when you picked me up!”
