Sanford Weill, chairman of Salomon Smith Barney parent Citigroup Inc., said Monday that new Securities and Exchange Commission rules may not go “far enough” to reduce conflicts between analysts and investment banking within Wall Street brokerages.
But Weill, speaking at a conference in New York, didn’t specify which aspects of the new SEC rules he considers too weak.
