Question: What does a VO2 Max test measure?
DAVID MACHERET
San Antonio
Answer: A VO2 Max test measures the amount of oxygen the body can process and use at maximum exertion. VO2 stands for “volume of oxygen.”
The test is seen as one of the prime indicators of overall fitness and is usually offered at health and wellness facilities.
Doctors and hospitals may provide it as well, but it isn’t a typical test offered by a personal trainer.
