Razor Blades Found in Playground Sandbox

Police found 30 single-edge razor blades in a playground sandbox Wednesday at Alton Park.
A resident called the Orange County Sheriff’s Department about 10 a.m. to report the blades. The playground, at Alton and Portola parkways, was raked and checked, officials said, but nothing else was found.
The discovery was the latest in a string of incidents across Orange County in which razor blades and nails have turned up in parks.
