Man Convicted of 3 DUI-Related Deaths

A Rowland Heights man was convicted Tuesday of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated in connection with an accident last year that killed three former Huntington Beach high school students.
James Paul Bell Jr., 28, faces up to 16 years in prison for the March 2002 accident that killed Jillian Baedeker, the 19-year-old daughter of Hollywood Park President Rick Baedeker; Nancy Le, 18; and Chelsea Toma, 19.
Bell, who had been free on $250,000 bail, was immediately taken into custody. Sentencing is set for May 30.
