From Times Wire Reports
After being closed for more than a week because of fires, Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park reopened for limited hours, allowing visitors to again traverse the park.
The road will be open only from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for now, but that could change. “We’re taking life day by day and we anticipate this schedule will continue for a period of days,” park spokeswoman Amy Vanderbilt said.
High humidity and a few sprinkles of rain cooled the three major fires burning more than 50,000 acres in the park.
