* Mandalay Resort Group, owner of the Luxor and Mandalay Bay casinos, said its fiscal third-quarter earnings increased to $40.6 million, or 63 cents a share, from $33.2 million, or 47 cents, a year earlier. Revenue rose 5% to $625.6 million.
* Petco Animal Supplies Inc. said the Federal Trade Commission had asked for information about the company’s Web site and its policies for protecting customers’ personal information.
* IDT Entertainment of Newark, N.J., said it reached an agreement to buy Anchor Bay Entertainment, a Troy, Mich.-based home video distributor, from Handleman Co. for $60 million. Anchor Bay has more than 3,500 titles in its library, including the “Thomas the Tank Engine” series, such films as “Halloween” and TV’s “Three’s Company.”
