Authorities Jail 300 in Attempt to Break Strike

Zimbabwean authorities attempted to break a three-day nationwide strike by arresting 300 people, including opposition lawmakers, and a rights group said police raided a hospital emergency room and took away people they had beaten earlier.
The opposition Movement for Democratic Change hopes to force President Robert Mugabe to quit.
