Jury Selection Moves Quickly in Malvo Trial

Lawyers in Lee Boyd Malvo’s murder trial moved speedily through jury selection in Chesapeake, choosing a panel of 28 finalists in a day and a half.
Of the finalists, 10 are white women; 10 are white men; five are black women; two are black men and one is an Asian man.
The jury will hear charges that Malvo, 18, was part of a sniper team that shot 13 people, 10 of whom died, in the Washington region in a three-week period last fall. Malvo is charged with murdering FBI analyst Linda Franklin on Oct. 14, 2002.
