From Times Wire Reports
Gayle Fallon, president of the Houston Federation of Teachers, said district administrators consistently refuse to honestly report on-campus violence and she plans to force the issue.
Fallon said the union will survey teachers and others in the district’s 80 middle and high schools over whether principals fail to discipline violent, disruptive students to avoid having to report them to the state.
Her comments came after district Supt. Kaye Stripling disputed a New York Times report that found the district failed to report thousands of crimes.
