Group Expands Its After-School Program

The LA’s Best after-school program has expanded to 13 additional campuses, meaning that 19,000 students at 114 elementary schools are now able to participate, Mayor James K. Hahn announced Thursday.
He said the move was partly funded with a $1.7-million grant from the Broad Foundation.
