Telling it like it is

THANK you to Robert Lloyd for not falling under the spell HBO tends to cast on critics and giving us an objective review of its new series “Carnivale” (“Good, Evil at It Again in HBO’s ‘Carnivale,’ ” Sept. 13).

It should have been called “Something Derivative This Way Comes,” as Lloyd deftly cited the sources for this ill-conceived rip-off.
