From Times Wire Reports
Hunters who go lead-free in Los Padres National Forest may get a rebate.
The rebates will be offered to hunters in the Ojai and Mount Pinos ranger districts. The first 200 hunters sending receipts showing they purchased lead-free or reduced-lead ammunition will get a $15 check.
The U.S. Forest Service’s pilot program urges use of bullets that are less hazardous to wildlife.
