A man who was shot several times by police using a Taser electric stun gun has died, authorities said Monday.
Robert Clark Heston, 40, of Salinas died at 7:25 p.m. Sunday, said police Lt. Kelly McMillin.
Heston was hospitalized Saturday after his heart stopped when he was hit by Taser darts.
Officers who responded to a report of a domestic disturbance said they saw Heston attack his 66-year-old father at their family home. Heston then attacked them, officers said.
Police responded by firing Taser darts at Heston. Once they subdued him, officers noticed that Heston had stopped breathing.
