Bicyclist Is Struck and Killed by Pickup Truck

A 52-year-old bicyclist was hit and killed by a pickup truck Monday while riding north on Brookhurst Street at Crosby Avenue, police said.
They did not release the man’s name pending notification of relatives.
Though he was wearing a helmet, he suffered head and internal injuries, police said.
Police have interviewed the driver of the truck and are investigating the cause of the accident, but said it did not appear to be alcohol-related. No citations have been issued or arrests made.
