Soldier Gets 25 Years for Shooting at Others

An Army private who pleaded guilty to attempted murder for shooting at fellow soldiers during morning exercise was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison.
Pvt. Nicholas D. Mikel, 21, was sentenced in a court-martial at Ft. Campbell for attempted murder and 22 counts of aggravated assault. No one was injured in the incident at the Army post on Oct. 13.
