Almost 60? Not even close

I enjoyed the entertaining piece “Perfect Year for a Slay Ride” by Cindy Chang [Jan. 26].
However, I have to take exception to your description of Jan. 15, 1947, as “almost 60 years ago.” As a member of the 1947 cohort (Feb. 22, to be exact), I consider Jan. 15, 1947, to be “almost 59 years ago,” and not even close to “almost 60 years ago.” Not that there’s anything wrong with being 60 years old, but I’d rather wait another year to be “almost” there.
Otherwise, thanks for a fascinating article. I never realized I was born in such an infamous year.
