The story about memorable guest stars on “The Simpsons” [“ ‘Simpsons’ Writer on the Show’s Best Guests,” July 26] should have definitely included the 323rd episode, which included Thomas Pynchon breaking his 40-year hiatus from the public media. The most reclusive author since J.D. Salinger, he has granted no interviews since his career started, but agreed to be on “The Simpsons.” What the hell?
