Re “A mother’s deadly secret,” Opinion, Aug. 13
Missing from this article is a larger analysis of the reason why a pregnant girl or woman would secretly give birth and abandon the infant to certain death. Perhaps it’s about their Puritan upbringing as well as our unhealthy attitude toward sex and our hesitation to discuss birth control in this country.
