The Walt Disney Co. and producer-director Robert Zemeckis have teamed up to make animated movies using the “motion capture” process featured in films such as “The Polar Express,” “Monster House” and “Happy Feet.”
Zemeckis and his partners Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey will make films that Disney will market and distribute, the company said.
The deal adds motion-capture technology to the studio’s computer-animated stable.
