2nd toddler found in O.C. pool dies

A 2 1/2 -year-old boy died Thursday, a day after he and his cousin were found floating in a murky backyard swimming pool in Garden Grove, authorities said.
The cousin, an 18-month-old girl, died Wednesday.
Authorities have released neither child’s name.
The two were found by their mothers, who are sisters, about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in the pool on the 14100 block of Deanann Place after the adults lost track of them for about 15 minutes. The girl was declared dead a short time later; the boy was taken to Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Orange, where he died about 8:50 p.m.
An autopsy will be performed today to determine the cause of death, a coroner’s spokeswoman said.
