What’s with the PGA Tour? For like, forever, the four majors have been the coveted brass rings of the sport. And yet, we suddenly have the FedEx Cup.
So come September, after dozens of tournaments and four majors, we now have a four-week playoff?
Tiger Woods goes from lapping the field to leading by a measly thousand FedEx Cup points? The last person standing gets a $10-million annuity that doesn’t pay off until his 45th birthday? And FedEx gets more publicity than any company in the history of advertising? Oh, now I get it.
