The horrors of a TV writers strike

I am utterly panicked by the prospect of a strike by television series writers, and wonder how on Earth we could live without the “entertainment”/slop that they enable us to bring into our living rooms each evening!
Without new shows, what would we do with our time and what would become of us? Would we have to resort to spending quality time with our families, exercising, reading newspapers and magazines, going to a library, viewing news and political programming or other substantive pursuits? Horrors!
Those who hold the purse strings should give the writers whatever they want immediately! We love and need the coarse, tasteless, vile, sexually oriented material that these “creative talents” devise!
