Fight ends in stabbing death

A knife fight near Rose Avenue and Main Street on Friday night left one man dead and another wounded and in police custody.
The brawl began shortly after 7 p.m., said Lt. John Cook, of the LAPD’s Pacific Station.
Police said the slain man was 50 and had been stabbed. Authorities have not released his name or the name of his alleged attacker, who was arrested shortly after the fight.
