at Washington 5, Edmonton 4 (SO): Matt Bradley scored the game-winner for Washington in the 12th round of the shootout, after both teams missed in each of the first 11 rounds. After Bradley scored, Washington goalie Olie Kolzig stopped Sheldon Souray in the 12th round to end it.
Montreal 3, at Atlanta 2 (SO): Andrei Kostitsyn scored in the second period, then came through again in the shootout.
Toronto 3, at Boston 2 (SO): Mats Sundin and Alex Steen scored goals in the tiebreaker, and Toronto ended a six-game road losing streak.
at Detroit 3, Vancouver 2 (OT): Henrik Zetterberg scored the only goal of the shootout.
at Ottawa 5, Carolina 1: Antoine Vermette scored two goals and Martin Gerber made 36 saves for Ottawa.
Columbus 4, at Phoenix 3: Rick Nash scored with 21 seconds left to lift Columbus to its fourth win in a row.
Dallas 4, at San Jose 2: Mike Modano scored two goals and Marty Turco made 28 saves for the Stars.
DUCKS 2, at Nashville 1: Brandon Bochenski and Corey Perry scored for the Ducks.
