9 suspects held in terrorism plot

A Singaporean who met several times with Osama bin Laden was among nine terrorism suspects arrested in Palembang, Indonesia, a local television station reported.
The men dropped their plan to attack Western tourists on the island of Sumatra after realizing that many Indonesians could also die, TVOne quoted anti-terrorism police as saying.
Only the Singaporean’s nationality was given.
