Aldrin to be at ‘Space’

Buzz Aldrin, one of the astronauts who manned the first successful Apollo mission to the moon, will be on hand Monday for a screening of “The Space Movie,” a 1979 documentary made to commemorate the 10th anniversary of that historic undertaking.
Also there to introduce the film will be director Tony Palmer, who made it in cooperation with NASA. The music is by Mike Oldfield.
American Cinematheque is showing “The Space Movie” at 7:30 p.m. at the Egyptian Theatre, 6712 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood. Tickets are on sale now. Information: www.mods androckers.com or (323) 466-3456.
