Occupying the former Bin 8945 space, Saint Felix (pictured) aims to offer West Hollywood bar-goers a different kind of night out. The intimate space (at 8945 Santa Monica Blvd.), which debuted this month, caters to a mixed clientele and hopes to lure the party crowd with signature drinks like raspberry mojitos and a “bordello-type vibe,” says one of Saint Felix’s four partners, John Arakaki (one of the folks behind the late, great Kiss or Kill rock nights). But just because the venue is a stone’s throw away from fancy boutiques on Robertson and serves up mojitos, don’t think Saint Felix will be your typical velvet-rope hang -- the bar (which also serves food) proudly offers 40-ounce Colt 45s. . . . Is rock music officially back in vogue in Hollywood club circles? The Green Door is once again leading the pack with its new weekly (Saturday) rock-themed party, “Lo Hi Fi.” Jason Scoppa and Alexi Yulish’s Saturday celebration of all things rock at the Ivar Avenue lounge features a house band with names like Jason Sutter (Chris Cornell’s drummer) and special guests such as Macy Gray, who sang with the band two weeks ago. Pink is a regular, and Prince even dropped by to check out the scene this month. . . . And Les Deux recently launched its rock night (every Monday), which is hosted by Rod Stewart’s son, Sean Stewart. . . . Hot right now on Thursday nights? Check out Alexis Florio’s weekly bash “The Counts” at the hot Silver Lake-adjacent Medusa Lounge (3211 Beverly Blvd.). . . . And Focus, the popular house music night at Tapas in Newport Beach, turned 5 this week, and Chicago’s Green Velvet was there to help blow out the candles.
