Frugal food column not all that filling

Regarding “Secrets of frugal foodies” (Your Money, June 22):
I was looking forward to the column on frugal food purchasing, but the promos seemed to promise a lot more than the story delivered. Especially with gas prices and job losses facing a lot of people, perhaps targeting gourmet foods was the tiniest bit elitist.
While delineating clearly some tips and techniques for money-saving values, there’s nothing new here. It seemed peculiar to me that these hints should appear in the business section rather than the food section.
They should have appeared in both, perhaps in different ways, but there are those who read one or the other section but usually not both.
