Looking for Fourth of July bargains? The holiday falls on a Saturday, so three-day packages abound. Hotels.com is offering free nights at 900 properties, including the Borrego Ranch Resort & Spa in Borrego Springs, Calif.

The deal: The offer is for three nights, any dates July 2 to 5. Stay two nights and get the third night free. Over three nights, the rate comes to $119 per day. To heat up the deal, Hotels.com will include a $25 gift MasterCard on two-night stays, a $50 MasterCard on three-night stays, and a $75 MasterCard on stays of four nights or more. Need to get closer to the sea? The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla is offering a three-night stay that averages $242 a night with the free night. Rooms and prices are subject to availability. Minimum stay required. Prices exclude taxes and fees and are subject to change without notice.
