I truly enjoyed Hugo Martin’s “Splendid Isolation” story [Feb. 22] about Lost Trail Lodge in the Sierras. This is a getaway I have dreamed about for years, but couldn’t get there because most of these kind of lodges are in the Rockies or in Europe. Now I have an ideal location in California.
The writing provided some great “visuals” and offered some great side notes and flavor about what to expect. It definitely sounds like the friendly, healthy adventure I’m looking for. It also provided all the useful tips I need to make this trip happen. My girlfriend and I are planning for this one right now.
