Update: Defenseman Rob Scuderi (lower-body injury) will sit out his third straight game but is scheduled to skate Sunday for the first time since he was injured on Nov. 14. Ryan Smyth (upper-body injury) will remain out for about four weeks. Winger Raitis Ivanans was moved up to the third line Friday with Michal Handzus and Wayne Simmonds, putting Teddy Purcell with Brad Richardson and Peter Harrold. The Kings are 1-2-1 in their last four home games. The Flames, despite a rugged and mobile defense that ranks among the NHL’s best, have lost two straight games and three of their last four.
