Big East: Cincinnati opens up running game against Miami

No. 10 Cincinnati 37, at Miami (Ohio) 13: Jacob Ramsey ran for 103 yards and three touchdowns for the Bearcats’ (5-0) normally pass-oriented offense, breaking open a close game in the fourth quarter for a victory against the RedHawks (0-5). Tony Pike was 23 for 42 for 270 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Ramsey became the first Bearcat to run for 100 yards since the opening game of the 2007 season, and the 15th in school history to score three touchdowns in a game.

South Florida 34, at Syracuse 20: B.J. Daniels connected with Carlton Mitchell on scoring passes of 33 and 85 yards, and the Bulls (5-0, 1-0) picked off Orange quarterback Greg Paulus five times. The mistake-prone Orange is 2-3, 0-1. The Orange committed seven turnovers against one of the top defenses in the country. South Florida is 5-0 against Syracuse.
