Veterans Day freebies: Pancakes, pizza and more

In honor of Veterans Day, businesses around the nation are offering free food, drinks and discounted goods to service members.
The offerings include a complimentary entrée at California Pizza Kitchen, free red, white and blue pancakes at IHOP and discounted items at Barnes & Noble, JCPenney and other retailers.
The deals require proof of military service. Former and current service members can usually wear their uniforms or bring a form of identification that shows they served in the armed forces.
Sometimes, deals extend to family members as well.
