Catanzaro was the first woman to qualify for the finals of the television sports challenge “American Ninja Warrior.” She attended Towson from 2009 to 2012 where she studied early childhood education on an athletic scholarship.

Emmy-winning actor and director Charles “Roc” Dutton, a Baltimore native, studied drama at Towson. He is pictured here in 2012’s “Luv” with Common. His Baltimore-set TV show, “Roc,” ran from 1991 to 1994.

Kicker Sean Landetta, who spent 22 seasons in the NFL, mostly with the New York Giants, was a member of Towson’s class of ’82.

Dave Meggett, who won a Super Bowl ring in 1991 while playing for the New York Giants, played his college football at Morgan State and Towson. In 2010, he was sentenced in South Carolina to a 30-year prison term on criminal sexual conduct and burglary charges.

Katie O’Malley is a Baltimore City District Court judge and the wife of Martin O’Malley, the former Governor of Maryland and future presidential hopeful. O’Malley received her undergraduate degree from Towson in 1985.

Baltimore native John Schuerholz, president of the Atlanta Braves, graduated from Towson in 1962. The school’s baseball field, John B. Schuerholz Park, is named in his honor. He was born in Baltimore and attended Baltimore City College High School.
