Music: The Game at the House of Blues
The L.A. rapper the Game has had, to put it lightly, his ups and downs in the last decade. His debut breakthrough of West Coast revivalism was a smash, but he followed it up with two skilled but deeply conflicted albums lamenting his separation from longtime mentor Dr. Dre and the Aftermath Records community. With “The R.E.D. Album,” however, he returned to the fold and sounds sharper than ever. House of Blues, 8430 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood. 8 p.m. Fri. $33.50. https://www.hob.com.
