USA Network has given “Royal Pains” two more seasons, meaning the high-end doctor show will be on the cable channel at least through an eighth season.
The two-season renewal, which will consist of two seasons of eight episodes each, will also push the series past 100 episodes, the traditional number of episodes needed to make the series viable for syndication.
The series stars Mark Feuerstein, Paulo Costanzo, Reshma Shetty, Brooke D’Orsay and Ben Shenkman as the doctors of a concierge medical clinic that serves the tony neighborhoods of the Hamptons in New York.
It has been a summer hit for USA with the most recent season averaging 3.36 million total viewers per episode.
USA also recently renewed its drama “Suits” for a fifth season.
