Twitterverse gives Obama a lesson in Chipotle ordering etiquette

President Barack Obama stopped at a Washington, D.C., Chipotle on Tuesday for a bite to eat during a break from the White House families summit. Hey, the president has his burrito cravings too.
But when Obama ordered his burrito bowl, he committed a known Chipotle sin, and it went viral.
White House photographer Pete Souza captured a photo of the president reaching over the sneeze guard. With his head over the glass, he points out the toppings he’d like on his burrito bowl. One simply does not reach over the sneeze guard at Chipotle.
We’re guessing the Chipotle employee helping him didn’t say anything. And if you’re in line behind Obama, are you really going to tell the leader of the free world to take a step back?
The Twitterverse didn’t hesitate to let Obama know he’d made a mistake.
Elisabeth DiCaprio (@Elisabethh_J) writes, “Obama has made some pretty idiotic moves but his lack of Chipotle etiquette is simply unacceptable.”
And @totalfratmove posted side-by-side photos of Obama and Mitt Romney at Chipotle with the caption “Obama at Chipotle vs. Romney at Chipotle.”
But if there’s one person who can lean over the sneeze guard at Chipotle and get away with it, it’s Obama.
