‘Food and fiction’ at Muddy Leek: Starting March 20, Muddy Leek in Culver City will host Tongue and Groove’s poetry collective every third Wednesday of the month. Performances will include short fiction, personal essays, poetry, music, spoken word and more. St. Supéry wine dinner at Cafe del Rey: On March 21, a wine dinner at Cafe del Rey will feature wines from Napa Valley’s family-owned St. Supéry. The four-course, Mediterranean-inspired menu will include lamb meatball skewers, seared sea scallops, stewed rabbit saddle, roasted lamb chop and vanilla spiced pavlova. Fried chicken brunch at Daily Dose: Daily Dose, a cafe in downtown’s Arts District, will be hosting a pop-up brunch Sunday in collaboration with chef Dante Gonzales, owner of Dante Fried Chicken and author of “Ride or Fry: The Dante Fried Chicken Experience.” The brunch menu will feature scrambled eggs, fingerling potatoes, coconut honey biscuits and Dante’s fried chicken, accompanied by a secret sauce created by both Gonzales and Daily Dose owner Sarkis Vartanian. Sundays at Border Grill: Border Grill is featuring a weekly changing menu of bottomless small plates for $19.99, every Sunday.
